My Favorite Cover

Best Magazines Covers Of 2014 And The Last 40 Years

National Lampoon quickly grew in both popularity in 1970s, when it regularly skewered pop culture, counterculture and politics with recklessness and gleeful bad taste. The notorious January 1973 shot of a human hand holding a revolver to the head of a docile-looking dog, who suspiciously eyes the firearm with a sideways glance, was photographed by Ronald G. Harris and is the magazine's most memorable cover.

Critique

It’s funny how the cover line threatens to kill the dog unless you buy their magazine. The way the dog acts is really funny, looking side wards looking anxiously at the revolver. The cover doesn’t have  much because the main focus is about the dog and the gun. I like how there is not many words to distract the view from the picture. Like other pictures this one doesn’t have a million text and          captions and title everywhere.

Photos of 2014

Photos of 2014

This is a cool picture because of how the tree contrast between the blue flowers and patches of grass. Also the people in the background make it look more alive. I aslo like how most the picture is naturally blue.

I like the angle of the picture and the postion of the bike and the look of how the road sort of drags also how he's tilted it looks like hes going really fast. The shutter speed is at a high s siting here other wise it would be blurry.

This looks w weird but in a cool way. It looks so smooth judging by that fact that the guy in the photo is able to skate there. I wonder what could of eroded the down to be that way, probably water.

Best songs of 2014

The best song was "Turn Down For What"
I chose this song because this was a really trendy and controversial song for a while.
This photo attracted me because its so well known (by younger people generally) and it has a funny music video. It was the best of 2014 because it was a funny well know song.

Best movie of 2014

The best movie was "Interstellar"
I chose this movie because it was really good even though i havent seen it yet, but i've heard good reviews.
This movie attracted me because i have not seen it yet so im interested.
It was the best of 2014 because it's more modern so fresher to memory and it's one of those rare space movies.

Most important news story

The most known not so much important news story is about EBOLA.
I chose this be because nice it was heard of everyone made it a big deal and over reacted to something that wasn't even an imminent threat.

Most important person

The most important person would be the President of America, Barack Obama.
I chose him because alo a lot political people talk about him either in a bad way or good.
I chose him because he the most person talked about mostly about obamacare or something he did, killing the terrorist Osama, to re-election for another 4 years. He is the most important person of 2014 and possibly for a few more.

The biggest sports event

That would obviously be the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, a place where it didnt snow.
I chose this because it is the biggest sport of the year next to the Super Bowl but the Olympics is much more exiting because of their variety. This was the best of 2014 because it only comes every 2 years, (the winter Olympics) and always is so intresting.

Holiday and Hopes for 2015

1. Something that was memorable over Christmas break was that i went to a Sushi Bar.

2. My resolution is to pass Algebra with atleast a B for the second semester average.

3. In 2015 im looking forward to a funny longer lasting trends and better music.
